Hi everyone. Today I would like to show you something called “instant track”. This is something we have in the FURUNO ECDIS, it is for when you want to deviate from your monitored route because of you need to go around some danger or some anti-collision measures. We have to types of the “instant track”. We have the “safe off track” which you use to go away from your monitored route and then you have “back to track” meaning to come back to your original track. In this video I will show you the “safe off track”. So let’s go to the ECDIS In the ECDIS to activate the “instant track” you have to be in a “NAVI mode” of course, you are always in “NAVI mode” when you monitor. But then you have to go to the “voyage” and then “instant track” as you see here. Then this menu will appear and then we have to the two possibilities i told you – “safe off track” and “back to track”. Let’s do the “safe off track”. And then it says “please click a destination” and after you let’s say I wanna go maybe here you click here and then you have to decide an angle it says you use the track board to decide an angle to the waypoint and “checking” and then it says OK. Then you have 30 seconds to execute this route. And then you press “execute”. Now preparing. And you see your old route is now in grey. And the new “instant track” is here and now your ship will start to, you can steer after this or if you are in “track pilot” then you will steer after this new route. And then you have a possibility to click “original route” And then choose your original route again if you want to monitor in narrow. Yes. This is the “safe off track mode” and you see now we are sailing off the “safe off track”. and you can also see it over here in your monitor window. This is “instant track”. OK. This was the “safe off track”. In the next video I will show you how to get back to your original track again OK. See you next time In my “instant track” video.
