Fishing Gear for PERCH (Rod + Reel + Line) | Team Galant

Hello fishermen! Have you ever wondered about what gear you’ll need to pursue perch fishing? How great! This is your lucky day because I’ll show you what type of rod, reel and braided line to use … and some general advices for your perch fishing! First off, decide what type of reel you’d like to use, either a spinning or a baitcasting reel! The spinning reel works by folding the bail down, meanwhile the baitcasting reel … works by pressing down a button to
be able to make a cast. The first mentioned is preferred for beginners, allow you to make long casts without getting a “birds nest” … meanwhile the baitcaster require more experience since a professional overrun is quite common. Another advantage with the spinning reel is that it’s more resistent to windy conditions … rather than the baitcaster due to the tangling-factor. Optimal solution for beginners during windy conditions – the spinning reel. What are the advantages using a baitcaster though from my perspective? You’re allowed to throw bigger
baits without hurting your thumb … and when fishing for perch you don’t usually use bigger baits such as you use for pike etc. Some people say it’s a better feeling using a baitcaster compared to a spinning reel but I haven’t noticed anything. I’d therefor recommend a spinning reel for beginners if you’re not used to baitcasters. To catch fish you’ll need braided line. Me and the vast majority of people recommend your line to be braided … of course you’re able to use nylon or fluorocarbon but the braided line is very strong compared to … it’s diameter. Not stretchable as well compared to the other two options. When making long casts you’re able to feel every bite due to the braided line not stretching … in comparison with the other two which have some stretch, not allowing you to feel each single bite. Hands down, the best braided line I’ve ever used is Slide Braid from Gunki. Durable and long lasting. Not making a sound when casting due to it’s shape … also very sensitive and non stretching. Totally recommend. I’m using 0.13 mm diameter … you could go down to 0.11 or 0.08mm, the shorter diameter the more sensitive … however using a rather small diameter increases the risk of being cut off when being scratched against … rocks or trees. When using like 0.08 mm, you’re not able to use too much force on the fish as well. When starting out fishing for perch I’d say 0.13mm is the most optimal diameter! The color does not matter but I prefer using fluro colors, like this green. As a leader I’m using flurorocarbon … which is invisible to the fish, but you should always keep an eye on the line for a bite … it’s tensioned during a bite which is a lot easier to see on a fluro colored braid compared to a more natural dark color. Strong fluro colors are recommended! Time to talk about the rods. If I were to use only a single combo for my entire life I’d pick this … as you can see, spinning reel, braided 0.13mm line and a Gunki Chooten Iron-T as rod … when selecting a rod for perch fishing you have to keep it’s length and casting weight in check. When fishing in windy conditions it’s important to use a long rod, allowing you to make long casts. When using a shorter rod you’re not
able to make as long casts … and this rod is 7.5 foot, perfect allround. 7.5 to 8 foot is recommended. 7.5 foot equals 228 cm. The casting weight – this rod has 5 to 18 grams. Perfect for using all types of methods and baits required for perch fishing. Hopefully you’ve learned the basics to get started with your perch fishing. 1. Tjena Tobbe fiske ide här. Hur låter det om du skulle göra en video med fisketekniker alltså olika sätt du kan fiska på för nybörjare. Har det blivit nått fint abborfiske på sistone då btw?

  2. As grym video. Tackar tackar 🙂

  3. I'd love to see a special where you's sit back have a drink and chat through some of your highlights of the shows.

  4. Please do the next one about pike in english and put in some controversy about the Tackle Choices, maybe bring in some more buddys

  9. Om man får ont i tummen utav att kasta tunga beten med haspel så gör man något fundamentalt fel 😀

  10. awesome video. my favourite setup is a 2-4 vertias rod along with a 2500 sienna spooled with 10lb braid. i use fluro 6-8lb and 3 inch softbait. found the perch pattern to be more effective rather than the natural colours

  11. Nice vid🎣👍🏼 my dutch friend✌🏻️yesterday i also catch some perch🐟 vid is on my chanel! German fishing chanel! Subscribe me if you wanne see more🎣💪🏻

  12. 0.11 slidebraid is enough on spinning reel 0.13 is to thick and works better on baitcaster, just my opinion. 🙂

  14. What's the point of giving an english title to your video if it's going to be in another language? Same goes for the description.
