how to keep new fishing line from tangling Hi it’s AlaskaGranny I just got 2 new fishing reels and
I’m a show a little trick I do to keep new line from coming off or being all tangled the new line needs to get a memory set to your reel this is what I do fill up a sink basin or bowl with
hot tap water place the reel in the hot water make sure the water covers them completely and allow them to soak for at least 5 minutes after 5 minutes take your reels out put them on a towel to dry and that is all there is to it now my line i s going to stay on the reel it is going to wind in and out smoothly and not get all uncoiled and tangled up Please subscribe AlaskaGranny channel alaskagranny.com

  1. I just take the spool of line from the real by loosening the drag all the way then put it in hot water

  2. When you buy a spool of line just submerge it in water for a few days. Doesn't have to be hot water I use tap water. After it's submerged for a few days it's ready to be installed on the real.

  3. LMFAO… at this crap… You're supposed to take the spool of the reels… A reel in not supposed to be underwater in water… reels can only take a little splashing of water… If they go totally under water they should be cleaned and oiled and greased again before use… This is very bad info… You need to take this video down…

  4. You can condition them in warm dish soap. But dont put non salt water reels in the watter they will mess the gears up

  5. Thanks for the tip! So far so good. I definitely agree about the reels, they get soaked fishing all day in the rain. Dry em out, lube em up and go again!
