Hello everybodyRon Barbish watermanatwork.comSalmon season has been closed for the seasondue to lack of fishSo we are fishing for smallmouth basson the Columbia Riverin Eastern WashingtonThe 2018 salmon fishing season was a major disapointment The season was closed soon after the peak of the fall salmon run due to the lack of returning salmon I only managed this small Coho and one Chinook salmon in three days of fishing So it’s off to Eastern Washington for some smallmouth bass fishing We’ve never fished for bass at this time of year so we weren’t quite sure what to expect It was a beautiful fall day and after a bit of a slow start we finally found the fishIt’s likeEverywheretwenty feet of waterinto the shoreis covered with seaweedand the seaweed itselfand the rocksandjust about everything elseis covered with this green slimy algaeGets on your lureevery single castIt’s a pain in the a–We’re going to dothe full dawn patrolGet up at likefour o clock in the morningHaul a– over somewhere elseprobably Celiloand hopefullythe fishing is a little better thereEarly morning drive on the water before sunrise Caught this algae-covered bass as the sun came over the hills We weren’t the only ones out early in the morning That’s it for the 2018 fishing season on the Columbia RiverFor more kayak fishing videosgo to watermanatwork.com

  1. Sorry I didn't get a chance to fish with you this past summer. But man you remember it was hot hot hot! I'll be 71 this Feb. And Ive got quite a bit of COPD going on. So I don't like going out in the Columbia by myself. So maybe next time if we can hook up. Lewis.
