FOOT FLUCTUATION?WELL TODAY, IT S ABOUT NEGATIVE ONE AND A POSITIVE EIGHT AND
A QUARTER EIGHT-AND-A-HALF. SO ABOUT NINE-AND-A-HALF FOOT TIDE SWING, WHICH IS A BIG TIDE.
THAT S A HUGE TIDE. Y ALL GOTTA FIGURE THAT S A TEN FOOT WALL OF WATER, BASICALLY MOVING
IN AND OUT OF THIS AREA RIGHT HERE. THAT S A LOT OF WATER MOVING. LET S GET ANOTHER ONE.
I M GONNA GET RE-RIGGED, Y ALL STAY TUNED WE RE GONNA BE RIGHT BACK.YEAH, I
KNOW THEY RE LAUGHING AT ME.ON THESE MOONS LIKE THIS, WHEN THE TIDE GET S REALLY
BIG, THESE FISH COME UP IN HERE AND THEY RE EATING FIDDLERS, AND SHRIMP, AND CRABS. AND
AS THE WATER FLOWS UP OVER THE EDGES OF THE BANK AND COMES OUT ON THIS HARDER BOTTOM WHERE
THIS NEEDLE GRASS IS, THIS IS WHERE ALL THE FIDDLERS LIVE. AND THE FIDDLERS ARE THE KEY
TO THE FISH REALLY TAILING. AND AS THIS WATER TEMPERATURE FALLS, THESE FIDDLERS DIG FURTHER
AND FURTHER DOWN. AND THEY END UP HIBERNATING, AND FISH REALLY QUIT TAILING. WHAT WE RE CATCHING
PROBABLY, ABOUT THE LAST TAILING TIDE OF THE YEAR. SO, IT LL HAPPEN AGAIN STARTING SPRING.

THESE ARE PRETTY, THEY HAVE NO LESIONS OR ANYTHING ON EM.THIS TIME OF YEAR
THEY DON T HAVE THE PREDATORS UP IN HERE. THE SHARKS AND THE DOLPHINS AND STUFF AS MUCH
IN THIS GRASS MESSIN WITH THEM. AND THEY STAY SO SHALLOW THIS TIME OF YEAR AT LOW TIDE BECAUSE
THE WATER TEMPERATURES DROP, SO THERE S ENOUGH OXYGEN IN THE WATER FORDEFINITELY.

  1. Blair, you made me a believer, D.O.A. gear rocks!… I hurt my friends feelings last week and he had live shrimp. Great vids that got me to buy your gear….good job

  2. Hey guys, we want to buy your gear thats obviously slaying fish…always get good close-up shot with cam of the baits. Everyone is always wanting to see the details/color/rigging and i watch closely how you present it. We are blessed with awesome fishing in Florida.

  3. We dont have this type of grassy flood tides where i come from. How come you dont get hooked on the grass or reeds? Just askin'

  4. The lure is rigged weedless by using a widegap worm hook and bury the hook in the soft plastic and it won't catch on the grass.

  5. Hey Blair I live in the tampabay area and I've been wanting to catch some redfish and trout on the flats. I like d.o.a tackle but I was wondering witch artificial to use and how to rig it. I also like using mirrOlures to witch one of those can I use. It would be a big help if you could help me out, thanks.

P.S. loving the flats blue rod and good vids man.

  6. this person is amazing i hope i could go fishing with him and if he does fishing in madiera i would watch you are amazing

  7. Blair i just bought your 7,6 rod and im still not sure if i want to pair it with a 3000 or a 3500 Sabalos reel. i got the 7,6 so it can be my all round fishing rod catching anything from smaller trout and flounder all the way to snook and large reds.
which reel would be better for getting any job done ? and what would be the largest fish i should be targeting with the 7,6 with that reel ?

  8. When you fish redfish tournaments and $50,000 is on the line, you should use whatever your sponsor tells you to use. 😛

  10. hello Blair !! im DOA sales Rep in Mexico and some anglers are asking : wich hook are you using or you recomend for CAL JERKS 4" , weighted and non weighted …. Salud Amigo !!!!

  11. hey blair, been fly fishing for a couple months and i wanna know a goodweight rod for snook and maybe bone or red

  12. Mr. Wiggins you are an amazingly talented fisherman I just wanted to ask you what color Cal jerk bait is the best in dirty water. Because down here in south Texas its all muddy .and I didn't know what colors were the best.thanks for your time

  13. Blair, just wanted to ask what D.O.A. bait you are using and how are you not getting it hung up in the grass every cast. Love the show man!!! keep it up!!

  14. D.O.A. CAL jerkbait rigged weedless with Lazer Sharp widegap worm hook. Now I use the NEW Trokar worm hook. It's deadly!

  15. Hey Blair I fish a lot and I was wandering what's the best rig to use for fishing for reds in 3 feet of water

  16. Hey Blair, if you don't mind me asking and can remember, what month do redfish usually bite in Louisiana? Looking into going fishing this weekend.

  17. I was out there while I was training at federal law enforcement training, didn't know they had good fishing in that area
